LodeStar Advisory Group, LLC® is an independent, "fee-only", boutique wealth management firm. We are defined by our nimble approach, fresh perspectives, and unique investment strategies and offer distinct advantages in today’s market. We can quickly respond to changing market conditions and/or your life events and transitions, making adjustments as needed. 

Our firm was founded in June of 2003 by George Kiraly Jr., a Wealth Advisor who also serves as the firm's Chief Investment Officer.

George Kiraly

George is a Certified Financial Planner® and member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). As a "fee-only" wealth manager, he offers independent, objective and unbiased advice. He does not sell products. George is known for several prescient market calls over the years and successfully navigating his clients through turbulent market events, including the Financial Crisis of 2008.

 

Besides selecting and managing investments, George has analyzed portfolios and manager performance; helped clients through job changes and salary negotiations; evaluated the pluses and minuses of insurance companies and their policies, and suggested alternatives; built solid retirement plans for clients; offered advice on assets held elsewhere, on whose advice he earned no fees; advised on real estate acquisitions and business plans; helped clients make wise social security benefit decisions; advised clients to prioritize their own businesses or pay down debt rather than invest with him and helped clients through family financial crises, even advising on tax and estate planning issues.

Whether George is working with business owners, families or individuals, all of his clients have one thing in common: the desire to pursue their goals and dreams and have an experienced professional help them to make smart financial decisions. George offers wise counsel as your personal financial advocate and confidant.

In his spare time, George engages in the odyssey that is fly-fishing, for trout. His father introduced him to the sport as a child and he still goes out each Spring with a fascination for what is a difficult, complex and demanding endeavor. George is also an avid golfer and exercise enthusiast. He has run in many 5K and 10K charitable races, even competing in and completing, a triathlon event.

Maria joined the LodeStar® team as the firm’s Client Services Manager

in September of 2016. Prior to joining LodeStar®, she worked at PNC Bank in client service and before that, ran her own successful small business firm for over 10 years.

As Client Operations Manager, Maria is the main contact for all questions outside of financial planning and investments. Maria brings her

​knowledge and expertise to assist LodeStar® in our back office operations, including helping clients with their client services needs such as setting up and maintaining new accounts, transfers, client meetings and scheduling.

Maria has completed the CFA Institute's Investment Foundations Program, covering the essentials of finance, ethics, and investment roles, providing a clear understanding of the global investment industry. After successfully passing the exam and earning the CFA Institute's Investment Foundations Certificate, Maria now demonstrates a mastery of core foundational principles of the investment profession.

Sara joined the LodeStar® team as the firm’s Client Experience Manager in March of 2024. Prior to joining LodeStar®, she served as a Behavioral Interventionist helping students improve their mental health. Sara ran a successful small business for many years.

passion for connecting with clients and helping them achieve their personal goals. Sara works to build strong relationships, ensuring client needs are fully met. She strives to provide our clients with an exceptional experience.

Sara leads our initiative to integrate behavioral finance, financial psychology and financial therapy into the financial planning processes at LodeStar® to better serve our clients, particularly in terms of combating client stress and anxiety, helping clients change destructive financial behaviors and overcoming client resistance to change. Her goal is to help people feel safe and happy with how they manage their finances.

Alessandro joined the LodeStar® team as the firm’s Communications Director in February of 2024. He provides communications expertise, support, and advice to LodeStar® and translates complex messages into clear, concise communications suitable for national audiences.

He has extensive experience in global technology sales, including managing client relationships, and leading negotiations for software deals ranging from six figures to multimillion-dollar contracts.
